What are the Friends?
The Friends of Redfield Edge Primary School (FoRE / The Friends) is for all parents and careers of children at the school, who are automatically members of the Friends and are actively encouraged to be involved with our fundraising and social events.
Aims & Objectives
The Friends have two key goals. Firstly, we help Redfield Edge to buy things that it couldn’t otherwise get – things that help improve the children’s education. Secondly – and equally important we aim to make the children’s time at Redfield Edge a truly memorable experience – more than just going to school.
We look to develop more extended relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the school.
We want to provide and assist in the provision of such facilities or items for education at the school, not normally provided from statutory funds.
The Friends have recently paid for items such as new playground equipment; ipads for classes; the climbing walls and the Play Shed. We are also run Christmas and Summer Fayres; Discos and numerous events through the year – for both the children and the parents.
Join the Friends
The hard-working committee, chaired by Sian Fish and Jayne Dean always welcome new officers, volunteers and school staff to improve all things at the school. Contact the Friends.
The Friends meet on the 2nd Monday of every term to discuss the agenda and organise events. The friends also meet on a more regular basis socially and to progress with small focussed tasks.
